History
Founded in January 2003 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil by partners Daniel Alegria and
Rodrigo Werneck, D'Alegria has since then reached the markets of North America,
Europe and Asia, besides of course South America where it is actually based. After
3 years specifically producing bass guitars, in 2006 at last the first 6-string electric
guitars were released, broadening the line of instruments.
Background
With over 20 years of experience in the production of handmade musical
instruments and busy activity in the Brazilian and international musical scene,
D'Alegria founders Alegria and Werneck envisioned in early 2003 the opportunity
of sharing with a wider audience their craftmanship and knowledge.
The Instruments
All the musical instruments that leave the D'Alegria premises are personally
manufactured, assembled and tested solely by partners Daniel Alegria and Rodrigo
Werneck. The quality control is actually done on a one-by-one basis, assuring to
each instrument the best in terms of sound, playability, performance and look.
